New Neurologist Opens Practice in Lake Havasu City
Lake Havasu City, AZ (December 6, 2013) – Havasu Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is pleased to announce that Maame Dankwah, M.D., MPH has joined the medical staff of Havasu Regional Medical Center and will be opening her office, Havasu Neurological Center on Monday, December 9, 2013.
Dr. Dankwah is a board certified neurologist and fellowship trained neuro-oncologist specializing in neurologic and neuro-oncologic disorders including stroke, headache, Parkinson’s Disease and other movement disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, back and neck pain, neuropathy, epilepsy, primary brain tumors, metastatic disease, paraneoplastic syndromes, neurologic complications of cancer and other neurologic/neuro-oncologic conditions.
Dr. Dankwah obtained her undergraduate, masters of public health and medical degrees from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. She completed a neurology residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine and neuro-oncology fellowship training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. She has a great passion for cancer research and spent time at the National Institute of Health/National Cancer Institute in Maryland performing research in cancer prevention.
Dr. Dankwah is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and Society for Neuro-Oncology. Her husband Ben Quansah is a pharmacist who has joined the Pharmacy Team at Havasu Regional Medical Center. They have a 1 and ½ year old daughter, Eliana-Sophie and have relocated to Lake Havasu City from Connecticut.
