Lake Havasu City, AZ (March 28, 2014) – LifePoint Hospitals® awarded Havasu Regional Medical Center (HRMC) with a 2013 High Five Award for demonstrating excellence in healthcare delivery.  HRMC is part of LifePoint Hospitals, a leading hospital company dedicated to providing quality healthcare close to home.

The High Five Award is the highest honor awarded annually to five of LifePoint’s 61 hospitals, recognizing extraordinary achievement in demonstrating the Company’s High Five guiding principles:

•           Delivering high quality patient care

•           Supporting physicians

•           Creating excellent workplaces for employees

•           Strengthening the hospitals’ role in their communities

•           Ensuring fiscal responsibility

The award was accepted by the hospital’s leadership team on behalf of the entire hospital staff at the annual LifePoint operations meeting on March 10 in Nashville, Tenn.

The hospital received a check from LifePoint in the amount of $100,000 to be used to invest in facility improvements and technology as the hospital continues to grow and enhance its medical services.

“Congratulations are in order for every single member of our staff for playing an integral part in our notable progress during 2013.  I am proud of our hospital family and honored to be a member of it,” said HRMC Chief Executive Officer Dana Ellerbe. “This recognition is a testament to the dedicated effort our employees, physicians, volunteers and board members gave during this past year. Our vision for 2014 is one of even greater optimism as we continue to pursue excellence in all areas of our hospital and strive to provide the best care possible to our community.”
