Lake Havasu City, AZ (June 10, 2025) – Havasu Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of Demitria Hernandez, M.D., to Havasu Internal Medicine & Geriatrics. Dr. Hernandez brings a wealth of experience in internal medicine and a patient-centered approach to care.

Dr. Hernandez will focus on providing comprehensive primary care to adult patients. Her extensive background in internal medicine makes her a valuable addition to the healthcare community in Lake Havasu City.

Dr. Hernandez is board-certified in Internal Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Saint Matthews University School of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Austin. She further enhanced her expertise by becoming a Certified Culinary Medicine Specialist in 2021, reflecting her interest in preventative medicine and lifestyle interventions.

In her approach to patient care, Dr. Hernandez focuses on combining evidence-based medicine with strong communication skills and individualized treatment plans. She has special interests in palliative care, setting reasonable expectations with patients and their families, and developing personalized preventative medicine and lifestyle strategies.

Prior to joining Havasu Internal Medicine & Geriatrics, Dr. Hernandez served as a hospitalist at Lake Havasu Regional Medical Center from August 2015, where she was also a member of various committees including, Credentialing, Department of Medicine, Infection Prevention, Critical Care, and Patient Bylaws.
