Renowned physician-pharmacist brings exceptional expertise in children's healthcare and medical toxicology
to Lake Havasu City
Lake Havasu City, AZ, October 1, 2025 – Havasu Regional Medical Center is proud to announce the addition of Diane E. Hindman, MD, PharmD, BScPhm, FAAP, FACMT, to its medical staff as a board-certified Pediatrician. Dr. Hindman brings a unique combination of medical and pharmaceutical expertise that positions her as an asset to families throughout the Lake Havasu City community.
Dr. Hindman's distinguished career spans both clinical practice and academic medicine, with dual credentials as a medical doctor and registered pharmacist. This rare combination provides her with unparalleled insights into pediatric medication safety and comprehensive children's healthcare.

"Her extensive background in pediatrics, combined with her specialized training in medical toxicology and pharmacy, makes her uniquely qualified to provide exceptional care for children in our community."
Currently maintaining active roles at premier institutions, Dr. Hindman serves as an Attending Physician in the Emergency Department at Phoenix Children's Hospital and as a Medical Toxicologist with the University of Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center. Her academic credentials include clinical professor positions at five prestigious universities, including the University of Arizona, Creighton University, and Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Hindman's comprehensive education includes medical toxicology fellowship training at Emory University and the CDC, pediatric residency at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, and pharmacy degrees from the University of Toronto and University of Colorado. She holds advanced certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Advanced Hazmat Life Support (AHLS) and serves as Assistant Editor for the national AHLS Provider Manual.
Her commitment to child safety extends beyond clinical practice through leadership roles with major organizations including the American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Medical Toxicology, and America's Poison Centers. She currently serves on the Arizona Department of Health Services Child Fatality Review team and leads research initiatives in medication safety, pediatric mental health, and substance use prevention.
Now serving Lake Havasu City families at Havasu Regional Medical Center and Havasu Pediatrics. Dr. Hindman is dedicated to improving children's health outcomes while addressing contemporary healthcare challenges including mental health support and environmental threats.
