Havasu Regional Medical Center Awarded Primary Stroke Center Certification

Lake Havasu City, AZ. (April 15, 2026) - Havasu Regional Medical Center (HRMC) has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® and the American Stroke Association’s Heart-Check mark for Primary Stroke Center Certification.

HRMC underwent a rigorous, unannounced onsite review. During the visit, a team of Joint Commission reviewers evaluated compliance with related certification standards, including delivery and facilitation of clinical care, program management, and performance improvement. Joint Commission standards are developed in consultation with healthcare experts and providers, measurement experts, and patients. The reviewers also conducted onsite observations and interviews.

“Achieving Primary Stroke Center Certification is a reflection of the unwavering commitment to clinical excellence our teams bring every single day,” said Danita Daley, DNP, MBA, RN, HACP,  Havasu Regional Medical Center Chief Nursing Officer. “From rapid triage and stroke alert activation to timely treatment and coordinated interdisciplinary care, our ED, nursing staff, physicians, radiology, pharmacy, lab, and support services have worked in synchrony to meet rigorous national standards. This certification strengthens our ability to deliver consistent, high-quality stroke care to our community, where every minute truly matters. We are incredibly proud of what this team has accomplished."
